Did you know that there are 20,000 known species of Bees? I know, wild right! What’s even wilder is that only a handful of those Bees produce honey that humans eat, and I mean a really small handful. To be exact, only 8 of the 20,000 Bee species produce the honey you find in your local shop, who would have thought? I know I didn’t. The truth of the matter is, Bees are a very diverse species of insect that contribute to our lives and the functioning of the world in many different, very important ways. On May 20th, Bees and the many ways they help us out are going to be celebrated as it’s World Bee Day!
